:)Main site = www.witkosupplies.com. Using FP 2003

Links to three other sites "Business Forms", "Professional Images/Personal Attractions" and "Witko Holiday Reflections". These sites are not under my control and were done professionally.

The main site is the one for which critiques would be appreciated. Currently trying to optimize for better Search Engine position. Changed from a left vertical navigation bar on shared borders to one on the right. Still in process of updating all the pages. (Novice at website design)

Hi, welcome.
I am kind of new to web design also so you can take my views with a grain of salt.

You seem to have quite a bit of things competing for attention which makes it difficult for me to be drawn to anything. You might try a simpler version of the page by taking out some of the things that are not necesary. For example the navigation on the right does not seem necessary because all of the same links are in the center of your page. You could also try getting rid of the sentences about savings and low prices and the mission statement - if people are interested, they will shop, you do not need to convince them. The contact info and 'for your information' info could be on other pages and you could just add a link to them on the top nav. I see you can sign up for the newsletter in three places - one is probably sufficent.

Good luck.

Hi and welcome

Like gibbon I am new to web design and joined this forum to help my learning of the subject. It's been a great help to me so I hope you will join the novices like me in contributing even if its just in the lounges.

Anyway to business.

I agree with gibbon's comments.

The navigation bar on the right is enormous and will put off a visitor.

I feel that your company name and logo should be larger and more prominent. If you are selling things you must attract the customer with 'special deals'. x% off, next day free delivery, etc. Make it clear and prominent. Your front page is your shop window. Condense your navigation under general headings eg Computer Equipment. Stationery.

Try and look at your site from a new visitors perspective. I think you will then see that there is too many links and information and not enough emphasis on sales and grabbing the customer on his fleeting visit.

Have a think and if you want help come back. There are other Sales and Marketing people on this forum besides me who will offer help if you need it.

Hope this helps.
