ALLWEBMENUS - 6/15/2005 4:09:27
I have just got Allwebmenus - web site menu program.

Does anyone know how I can make a horizontal menu with this program. I only seem to be able to make vertical ones?

Thank you.

Have you been to the allweb site and checked out their stuff?

I don't have a recent version of it but I'm sure there were instructions telling you how to do it.

I think it's something to do with clicking the top level of the menu and then going through all the available options.

Gill_110,

If you just bought AllWebMenus, you should have the latest version 6.0.620. Open in FrontPage, then: >>Style Editor >>Main Group Style >>Type >>Horizontal.

I have version 3.1 - can I upgrade this version to the latest 6.0 without having to pay anything? If so, how do I do this.

Can I make horizontal menus in version 3.1?

Yes you can do horizontal menus in 3.1. If you opted to have it link to FP when you installed it then the instructions above should be very similar.

If not then open allweb and try what I suggested above. Look down the list of options for one that says Vertical or has an option to change to horizontal.

Gill_110,

According to the AllWebMenus site, you can upgrade free if you purchased 3.1 in February 2005 or later. Otherwise $35.00 :)

I'm quite sure there is a way with 3.1 since the AllWebMenus site was constructed prior to v 6.0 showing same - I just never found it when poking around before I ran out of time and patience. Also, the Help screens searching for Horizontal Menus weren't. With Version 6.0 it is very straightforward which, btw, integrates the preview screen - a definite improvement.

I have made a menu and worked out how to make it horizontal.

Am I able to position the menu exactly in my web where I want it? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks.

Gill_110,

Yes. Group Properties >>Positioning - 8 Options. Experiment with X and Y coordinates and floating/scrolling options.
