Applying a stylesheet to an external web page - 6/24/2005 17:23:38
Ok. I am NOT technical per se. However, I have a web site that I visit frequently that has changed its version and stylesheet. I captured the previous stylesheet and would like to instruct my browser to use the old stylesheet when visiting the site. Is there ANY way to do that???

Thx in advance.

It depends on your browser...

Here are some instructions on how to do it with Firefox (and a FF extn)

The article is about "custom skinning" Gmail, but the idea could apply to any URL

Thanks so much for that. I get the idea but can't get it all to work correctly... I found a previous version of the stylesheet in question via archive.org... I saved it as a CSS file, downloaded both the URIid and ChromEdit extensions, made changes to the CSS code (added body#www-website-com; added a bunch of the ' !important' overrides, etc.) and then saved it to my profile folder but no dice. Bummer! Wish I knew more about this stuff.
