Anyone using AOL browser - 6/25/2005 8:01:49
A client has got his AOL browser in a right twist. He's got the fonts set to enormous and so he's either got scroll bars that go on for ever or web sites that break.

When I say enormous I mean larger than
this

I've searched the settings high and low for something that changes the text size and can't find it. He of course can't remember how he did it.

According to instructions I've found on the web there should be a view menu similar to FF and Netscape but he doesn't have that on his toolbar.

HELP!

I haven't used AOL since way back when I was younger and even more stupid than I am now. I seem to remember that there was something under tools or options that changed the default font size.

If you want to take a risk AOL have a beta version of their stand alone browser available for download. I was toying with the idea of downloading it myself but I have been waiting to see if anyone else tries it first.

OK chickens, I tell you what I'll do, when I get some time I have a Win XP machine that is about to be zapped and set up with Red Hat. Before I do that I'll download the software from hell and see how long it takes to kill my machine.

You'll have to wait though, so, in the meantime can anyone point me in the right direction for this flipping text re-size?

I found this comment on another forum (by googling) hope it helps.

AOL has limited options for increasing the size of their displays. However, you can increase the text size by clicking on My AOL and choosing General Preferences, then Display Text.

I looked in his MY AOL but found nothing on the text lines. Just FONT resize and that was set at Arial 10.

I've mailed him that info to see if he can find it.
