There are several ways that are popular to make Tables more accessible to those using non-visual browsers (scope, IDs & Headers etc) - but since it's often a case of using one method or the other it's difficult to know which method to pick.

Here's an article just publicised on the Web Standards Group which has a series of tests of one method against another in an attempt to see which is the "better" method.
