Do any of you have experience with godaddy's domain name reseller program? Or maybe with another company?

GoDaddy has a decent reseller program. When I want to resell something though, I wouldn't want to display a 3rd party page, I want my "own" domain registration option. Own SSL cert, payment gateway, etc.

Personally, I love Enom.com's reseller program. They give you all the tools needed to display your own domain registration site. The thing I like best about Enom, is that they provide the support, you get great service, great prices, and about the fastest turn around time. Registrations have been completed within minutes of a domain being registered.

If you can't afford the upfront costs for the Enom reseller program, GoDaddy is a good option.

Brandon,

Crucial Paradigm is simply a reseller for DirectI.com's program. I couldn't remember their name before, but they are also a pretty good company. They actually offer registrations at $6.99/year with zero setup fees.

I have been tempted to move from WildWest to WildWest API.

"The Wild West Domains new Application Programming Interface (API) plugs seamlessly into your site, maintaining your branding and unique look and feel."

https://www.wildwestdomains.com/gdshop/reseller/api.asp

Not sure it's worth the time, however. The Basic reseller program seems to work just fine for my needs.

Ouch! $249/year is not worth it.

Take a look at AWBS Domain Edition Features and AWBS Domain Edition Modules. Use that with DirectI or Enom. I think for $250 you should be able to pick up the $6.95 enom account. They used to go on eBay for around $200, but have been sold out for well over a year now.

So you basically have the $250 for eNom, then the $110 for the AWBS Domain Edition software, and then zero yearly fees, and domain registration at 5 cents less.

Thanks for the info Brandon. WWD aka godaddy isnt worth a hoot. Was with them for 3 years before wising up. They started out really well, but customer service has gotten terrible and after THEY lost a domain for me - well that was it!

I agree that WildWest (Godaddy reseller plans) customer service seems to have been on a downhill slide for the last few years. I used to think they were a terrific organization. I rate them quite low at this point in time.

Domain reseller program is proving a very lucrative business for web designing and development companies. But, how do you recognize the best one? Majority of the people do not know the answer or feel quite uneasy.

Basically, there are bundles of responsibilities for domain name
resellers. So, choosing the best means choose the best services You can not have idea about such services unless you check out domain reseller http://www.tucktail.com/resellers/basic/ This is same as godaddy

program of domains.resellergenie.com. It is ICANN accredited company.
