How to make a .pdf file? - 6/27/2001 23:13:00
I have a client, a DJ who wants to include his songlists as pdf files. I'm not sure if this is necessary but he insists that is what he wants. The problem is I have no idea how to make a .pdf file..does anyone have some advice? Or perhaps a link to a tutorial? Thanks in advanced, Rita------------------

To make a .pdf you have to have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader). You have to pay for this program. Take the original file (song list) and <File, Print> to printer: PDF Writer or Distiller. If it's all text, Writer should work fine.This will create the .pdf file. Once created, you just make a link from your web to the .pdf file on your server. Good luck!

Rita, there's a easy way to do it!!! Adobe has a site where you can convert documents into PDFs.. You can create the list as a .html file or word and then convert it! There are other PDF creators out there. Some are free. Just do a PDF search using Google.

OOH - Thanks bri - nice to know that the situation with the five freebies has changed I can think of about 5 charities who can use that. Wish they'd they'd change their policy on the full service.

OmniForm will also make .pdf's, probably not as high quality as Acrobat Writer.
