Web and site - 3/15/2001 13:56:00
Within FP is it necessary to create a Web in oreder to create a site? For example, does FP use these words interchangeably to mean the same thing? In addition, how does one save this new site to disk as opposed to the hard drive. I am just starting out so I could also use some beginners pointers, if anyone has got any.

The terms are interchangeable in that when you create a "web" you are creating the pages for your website.To save to a disk, first save it on your hard drive, then copy to the disk. (you can delete it from the hd later if you want to)

When you move your site you should "Publish" instead of copy. Generally, people build their site on their hard drive then Publish to a host (server). ![]("http://www.frontpagewebmaster.com/ubb/smile.gif")
