fax fetch software - 7/28/2005 16:14:19
Has anybody out there used Fax Fetch software to gather fax numbers from the web? What was your experience with it?

You might want to research the pending "Do Not FAX" bill working it's way through the minefields of Washington bureaucracy (off shoot of the "Do Not Call" law already in effect) before you spend more time and money on this idea.

No, I have not used that product.
I really hate fax spam. I don't mind email spam that much as it take very little time to wish through the few hundred I receive each day, but fax spam actually costs me toner and paper.
Also, some states (CA) already have laws to prevent fax spam. I don't have it in front of me, but I think the fine is somewhere around $400 per fax. It is also very easy to get the judgement.

Great link Larry. I wish we could toss these spammers on their own island, without an oubound connection. They would kill themselves with the amount of spam!

It was a passing thought before I did anything and also considered the spamming issue. SO....
Yes - I appreciate everyone's concern re: spamming, and legality.
but seriously Larry/Bobbby, you don't have to be such AH's about it.
Next time I post here I will be sure to purify my thoughts and only be PC.
