Error replying on FP forums - 7/30/2005 7:58:34
hello all. Hope you can help on this one. I have several message boards on www.maout.com The boards are set with the Front Page Discussion Wizard and have always worked flawlessly. A couple of folks are getting errors when trying to reply to messages. But they can post original topics just fine. The vast majority are obviously replying with no issues. Both of the people who have come forward indicating problems are running Norton. Below is the detailed error message one gets when trying to reply in the forum. I am thinking they have a virus that Norton isn't finding. Any help would be much appreciated.

SECURITY ALERT

Medium Risk

Norton Internet Security has detected and blocked an intrusion attempt.

Time: 5.26p.m. Date: 7/29/2005 Intrusion HTTP IIS SHTML REQUEST Intruder: local host (4755)

Do you want to get more information?

answer Yes

New page: Alert Assistant

A security alert appears when someone attempts to access your computer. This may be an Internet Attack, a Trojan Horse, or a legitimate activity, such as someone on your local network attempting share files.

Question: What triggered this alert?

Answer: A computer with the I P address 127.0.0.1 sent information that is characteristic of the HTTP IIS SHTML request attack.
Spooky
