Beginner Struggling with permissions - 8/3/2005 20:45:33
I am a beginner with FrontPage and have created my second site now. In this one, we want a subweb that can be accessed by subscribers. I am using FrontPage 2003 and I have the subweb set up. Our hosting service has us on a Unix/Linux server, I am not sure what the the user registration form extentions should be. I also want to set up a login that will recognize the subscriber when he/she enters and they enter their email address and password. Also, if they forget their password an auto responder that will email it to them.

My web site is www.your-source-it.com The piece I want to have for subscribers is the AEC Source newsletter and we may add other things as well to this area.

This all amounts to a semester in college I am sure so it's a lot to ask, but if anyone could spend some time going over this I would really appreciate it.

You want a user management system, a login system...?

On Unix/Linux you should probably look at a script in php. Check www.hotscripts.com for some options
