Is there any place on here that has a list of all the members who do web design or offer quotes for doing custom design work???

I don't think there is but you will get a lot of interest to your posting from members.

It could be helpful if you tell us what you are looking for in terms of design.

At first I thought I was going to get a butt load of people spouting off quotes but that didn't happen.

In a way, I think it would be a great idea if this forum did maintain a list of all the members who are web designers along with a description of what they do and a sample of their prices.

I don't think they will spout off quotes to you. I think you need to expand as to what sort of web you want. Your location would help a people like to work with the client.

i do some webs but only for people I know because I am still on the learning curve.

Have look through some of the active member profiles for web designers.

Its a hard one to answer from a forum perspective.
To maintain a list is a bit of a job and a half! And, as a result I cant guarantee the accuracy or quality of information.

For quotes, you can try the above idea?

Thomas does design work, so check out the Outfront main site for details if you wish?

You'd need to list the following at least to get interest from people:

1. How many pages
2. What type of content (static/dynamic)
3. What type of tech on your webserver ASP/PHP ?
4. When you want it finished
5. How much you are willing to pay (doesn't work the other way round as all sites are different plus the amount you are willing to pay gives us a clearer idea of what we'd be able to put into the site - e.g. you won't get many people who'll do you a DB for under £500 but static pages might well be ok.)
6. Who will be updating the site - if it's the developer, how much will you pay for ongoing maintenance.

If you feel uncomfortable putting how much you're willing to pay on an open forum then put it in a word doc or on an e-mail and people can ask you to send it to them.
