BeamMeUp -> Styles not working (7/9/2001 20:20:00)
I cannot get the styles that I create to take affect using FP2000 "Format>Style" or for a specifice table cell "Cell Properties>Style". I can see the change in the Normal view but it does not show in either Preview or IE5 Browser.
I tried making changes under "Tools>Page Options>Compatability" as suggested by FP Help but nothing works.
Any idea what I'm doing or not doing?

Hi,
Not an answer to your question but I have heard (On this board I believe) that FP styles are frought with problems. I would use CSS level 1 only, this insures that Netscape users can see what you want also.

I learned the hard way that the best bet was to create my style sheets in Notepad, then import them into the web (stored in a folder called Styles).
I also keep a testing style sheet in my testing folder so I can experiment with new features without touching the ones in use.
Cheers

I generally do use an external style sheet that I link to my files, but I just wanted to do a few things "on the fly". I can't get one "style" to take effect in my documents!! That function doesn't seem to work at all. I had used it before in FP98 & Win95 with good results. Now I am running FP2000 and Windows 2000 - the combination of the 2 has been causing much grief!!
Thanks for the reasurrance that it isn't just me......
