....I'm gonna use it :)

Right...my next "big" web project is to start a redesign of a site, but I want it to be a graphically based design. Problem already seen. Mainly graphical means a reduction in accessibility right? heh, that's where you guys come in...

Treat me like I know nothing about Accessibility, don't give me links (i'm too lazy at the mo, and have little time on my hands to browse web), give me the full shebang on how to make a mainly graphical site accessible to ALL users, PDA & mobile users included.

Remember...I wanna be treat like I know nothing about accessibility (watch it!)

Oh...and I will probably ask more questions too:)

Are we going to get a credit on your site then if we do all this work for you? :)

What do you mean by Graphical? Flash or Swish or just graphics heavy? Are you using CSS layout or tables. Is your navigation flash-based, CSS-based, javascript, straight text, images - what?

We need more details if we're going to offer any constructive advice.

I may be able to write FLASH/Swish faster than I can east chocolate, but I would never use it on a site, I will be creating a massively graphically heavy design (yes, it'll eat bandwidth, but thats not an issue). CSS will be used, but not sure on whether to put it into tables yet, or if I will be able to use a pure CSS layout.

Nav will be image/CSS based :)

I may also be a JavaScript monkey, but I don't wanna use it unless I reaaaaalllly have to:)

If the site's going to be very graphics heavy you don't want to make it even slower to download by using tables unless you really have to.

There's nothing wrong with using JS as long as the whole "workings" of the site doesn't depend on it - if it enhances the site then that's fine - if the site won't work without it then it's a no-no. Also make sure that the JS you use isn't just dependent on on:mouseover - stick in an on:focus and on:blur so that the widget will work for people using keyboards.

I know you don't want links but the Listmatic CSS navigation selection is great plus they have a cross-browser list so you know what'll work where.

What sort of layout do you want? Two column, three column, liquid, fixed?

There's also a great site List-o-matic where you just type in your target pages, titles, and what you want on your menu, and it produces your html list and css for you (various designs available), and another called e-lusion.com that has free menu designs - hmtl, css and images just ready for you to personalise - all fully css, not a drop of js in sight - pretty but all fully accessible...

...but of course if you don't want any links then I won't tell you where to find them :)
