3 weeks ... still can't save web pages to my documents - 8/20/2005 4:20:19
Three weeks seeking help … unsuccessful
OK, I have tried for several weeks to seek a solution to the following problem, including sites, such as this one.
The problem is that I cannot download web pages as they appear on the screen.
With another laptop I had, there was no problem …. I simply pressed the save as option and wrote in the title I wanted and placed the page in My documents.
With this machine, I press the save as and fill in the title and no box appears showing the saving process. The save as box has 1) save as type=HTML htm, html and the language is Western European.
When I go to My documents or My webs I get an “empty” icon that asks mr to choose a program. I choose the internet (Explorer) Icon and do NOT get the web page as it appears on the screen.
I have an Acer laptop
XP professional
Frontpage
Zone Alarm Firewall
Norton Anti-virus

Hi Patricko
Do you get the same problem saving from Word or Excel. If not, I would suggest re-installing Frontpage as a 1st step.
