VS .net changes FP template - 7/16/2001 19:45:00
Wondering if anyone has taken pages built with a graphics-intense FrontPage 2K template and opened them in VS.NET. It looks great and works fine in FrontPage 2KBut when I open the page in Visual Studio.NET and display it in IE, it looks like the shims expand and shows the graphics moved around. Anyone else seen this or have a workaround? Does anyone know if this is a feature of VS.NET?

The Interdev Editor is supposed to be just like FP, but it has not actually been just like FP in the past. Furthermore, I have found the wysiwyg Interdev editor to be quite a dog in the past. I haven't worked with the latest version of that editor, but I cannot recommend working with an OutFront Web template in any editor other than FP 2000/02.Inerdev has always integrated fine with FP in the past. Hopefully, VS.Net can do that?

Thanks so much Thomas for your reply. Actually Interdev is rolled into .NET and is no longer separate (WHAOO!!). You now get web support and editing in every programming language. The editor isn't too bad from what I have seen. But I am thinking that the new VS second-guess me and tries to handle the issues that the spacers fix automatically. That would be in the spirit of .NET. I am just not certain that is the case or if I did something dopey. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had run into this and if they had a work around. Or if anyone had experimented with it. My need for doing this is to use my cool-looking FrontPage tempates as a wrapper for a form I am creating using .aspx. Any comments are certainly welcome.
