Upload Problems - 8/25/2005 6:31:49
Hi,

Im trying to create a website at the mo using frontpage. I brought some server space last week and have been uploading and testing it since with no problems. However over the last couple of days when i have tried to upload files it comes up with the error message:

553 - Can't open that file: Invalid Arguement
553 Rename/move failure: No such file or directory

The only possible explanation why this is happening is because i emailed the server and asked them to turn frontpage extensions on. But i have no idea why it would affected. When i click ok on the error message it says the page is uploaded and up to date, but it doesnt actually do anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions to why it is doing so. Ive been emailing my server people but their rubbish and have just received an automatic response from them so i guess its down to me to fix.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

When i brought it there was a choice between Unix and Windows server. If i can remember correctly i went for the windows server because it supported ASP.

Are you uploading or "publishing" ?
What steps do you take to create the error?

I think i am publishing. I click on the file tool bar, go to Publish Web and then type in my password etc.. and click Publish.
