Updated Pages - 6/5/2001 20:17:00
I just recently updated my website and I did it by pressing the EDIT button in my IE 5.5. I added quite a bit of information and after I was finished it all looked great and still does. Today I wanted to edit some of it while being offline. But when I went into the page that was saved on my computer the page was not updated.

So what I'm thinking is that by doing the updating by pressing the EDIT, none of the updated info is saved on my computer. Is there a way to take the updated data that is already on the web and updating the files that are on my computer. So that they will be the same.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,
Tom

You need to open your site live in FP and publish it back to your computer. File/open web and type your url in the folder box. You will need to put in the id/password for your site.

Once it's open, just click file/publish web and point it to the folder you have it in now.

Hope this helps.

Thanks alot Swirl, it worked perfectly. Here's the address to the site I made: www.classicrevivals.com It's nothing really great but it's the first website that I ever created and I wouldn't want to lose it, if for some strange reason the host server went down. Thanks again!!!

Hi Tom

You're very welcome. Although the colors are a bit dark for my taste, overall you've done a very nice job! Keep up the good work!
