KMcDermott -> Server "does not appear to have frontpage server extensions installed" (8/29/2005 9:51:21)

Windows 2000 Advanced Server
IIS 5
FPSE 5.0.2.4330

Open Web in FP2002 Client:

The web server at https://<<Server Name>> does not appear to have frontpage server extensions installed

On server side, no events in Application or System log. Open site in ISM and "Check Server Extensions 2002" and the attached text is outputted in the browser window:

quote:

I have 5 other sites running on the same box, all seem to be working fine. Have tried running REPAIR from FPSE setup msi, but no change.

Is the entire web behind a SSL Certificate?

If not, drop the s from https://

Hmmmm don't the extensions NEED to talk across port 80?

Removed/reinstalled application space - no change
Uninstalled FPSE from site - no change
Deleted site from IIS
Built new site site via New Site Wizard in IIS mapped to existing content in c:\inetpub\contentfolder & existing IP
Extended FPSE to new site
Added local accounts to FPSE Administrators group on site
Recalculated web from FPSE Admin tool
Checked Server Health and applied Security Tightening to site from FPSE Admin Tool

All's well that ends well.

PS... yes it is running behind HTTPS
