web opens on C and I want the server files - 8/29/2005 23:36:41 I am online with my laptop and I am opening pages in IE that I have always opened on my other PC. Once they are opened in IE I click on "edit with fp" Many times when I click it on my laptop it will open a cache file on c instead of asking for my user Id and pass. I can go straight to any page on the other PC so I know it is a setting on my laptop. I have cheated it and created 50 test pages that I can sometimes trick it with and it will open up to the server, but sometimes it doesn't. I have to fix it and don't know where to start. Please HELP!!! This is a charity website that helps get children adopted.

Are you opening as a 'web folder' or do you have FP installed on the notebook? Are you able to open the site directly with Frontpage?

I have a button at the top of my IE browser and when I click on it, it opens front page and if I have never visited that page before it will ask me for my pass and user id- if I have been there it goes to a cashed page and opens a page that was saved on my c drive. I want it to never save top my c drive and always open the hosted online site. I only work direct- I do not ftp and do not want to. I know this is possible because I have another pc in which this function works correctly. Please help.
