echo53 -> FrontPage 2002 Activation (9/1/2005 4:15:37)
|
I will start by saying this is genuine and I am not trying to circumvent Microsoft's anti-piracy measures. I have had a genuine copy of FrontPage 2002 for over 14 months now. Recently I spent 2 months overseas and on coming home had to update a commercical website I had created in FrontPage (on the insistence of the client, all my other websites are Dreamweaver). On opening FrontPage it stated I had made major configuration changes to my computer (which I hadn't, it was not altered one bit since I went away) and I had to reactivate my copy of FrontPage. Well I have moved twice and you reckon I can find my CD of FrontPage 2002, no way. I have found the box and every piece of paperwork (MS manual, anti-piracy phone number list etc.) but not the CD. I have tried and tried to contact MS but I am not going to spend one more hour or cent on trying to get an answer from them. I have a bad feeling also their answer will be to buy a new upgrade to the latest version. I pride myself in always having original software and have thousands of dollars worth but when things like this happen you have to wonder if its worth it. Is there anyway I can activate FrontPage 2002 without the CD? I only need it for this one website update and then will no longer use FrontPage (because of things like this, it's the second time it's asked for activation now for no reason).
