Gene Watson Dedicated Website - 9/8/2005 20:56:05
As of Monday 5 September last, I have given my Gene Watson dedicated website a bit of a facelift. Please check out www.gene-watson.com & provide suitable comments/suggestions. I hope to have this website officially endorsed by Gene Watson himself in the near future - he doesn't actually have an official online presence, as yet!

Hi Sean

Couple of points that I noticed.

The text is very small and because you've used a fixed font-size people using IE can't increase the text size (those using a decent browser are ok though!). You're using pts currently which is really just for print media rather than the web. I'd go with a % (maybe 76%?) so that people can resize it properly. I'd also look at maybe increasing the line-height as the text is a bit cramped together - I usually use 160% for a nice, easy to read page.

It's slightly slow on downloading for 56kbps modems (24 seconds) - maybe optimising the images a bit more (or cropping the header to take out the excess black background) might bring it down a bit - you really want to be nearer 10 seconds.
