fading a jpg - 9/15/2005 9:25:34   
is there any method to take a jpg photo and gradually fade/dimish the visibility fro one side to another? hope i expained that correctly

as you might have noticed as well you can alter where the pic fades by altering grabbing hold of the little round anchor thingy at the end (with the mouse, silly) and if you move it to the left the pic fades to 100% transparent further to the left.

the more manual way of doing it is drawing a rectangle with a linear fill (black to white) and the gouping that with the picture (group as mask) then altering the fill etc to how you want it.
