Collapsible Lists & Dynamic Web Templates - 9/26/2005 5:36:58
A discovery! Collapsible lists will not work (they won't collapse) within pages based on a DWT (Dynamic Web Template) in FP 2003. At least, not directly they won't. I found that the fix is to create the list on a plain vanilla normal page, THEN copy and paste that puppy into the page based on the DWT. Then it works. And what I ALSO notice is that the sub-list (the stuff that disappears when collapsed) insists on being numbered or bulleted; if you get rid of the number or bullet, it won't collapse; the fact that it is indented is not enough. You might want bullets or numbers if you have a sublist of many items, but if you just have ONE item -a short paragraph, say- why would you want to put a number "1" for something there is just one of? My fix is to use a non-printable character for a bullet -a blank, in effect- to keep the item collapsibel but have no apparent bullet. Hey, I've only been at this for 2 weeks -don't make fun of me.
