dw -> Webpage help needed. (6/5/2001 22:27:00)

I have a page which is giving me fits. I hope someone can help. There are two problems, which may or may not be related.

Here is the url
https://web38.mysecureserver.com/automobilearchivescom/credit_card.htm

Please note this is a secure page, but the same problems exist on the non secure version.

Problem 1:
In IE, and Netscape 6 (this I have been told about netscape 6, but I am unsure) The drop down boxes work as they should. In Netscape 4.6/7 and perhaps other versions, the drop down boxes do not work. The webpage viewer sees a outlined box with all choices veiwable, but unclickable. So this form does not work properly in Netscape.

Problem 2:
This page was created in FrontPage, but then a mail script was added, by someone else. When I try to bring the page back into FrontPage, it deletes all of the HTML, creating a blank page. I have had to FTP this particular page, to publish. (I am afraid of messing up frontpage extensions) I deleted it from my website in FrontPage, but when ever I publish my site, (even though the page is not listed in frontpage) it deletes all HTML, leaving a blank page, (other than the banner). Then I have to republish this page by FTP. Even though there were no changes.

This page has given me fits from day one, "bad page, bad page".

Third minor problem: I have noticed that some of the FrontPage theme effects do not work on all pages, but some it does, in Netscape 4.7. Any thoughts for this also.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions, help you can give me. Dennis.

Not sure if this will help but if you want to insert something in an FP page and DON't want FP to muck around with it, use the insert - advanced - html command. It won't show on the edit page so put a 'comment' there to remind you it's there.

Thanks for the tip Janet, I will look into that right now.

Anybody have some ideas on the Netscape issue???
