Yet another pagerank question.. - 9/28/2005 10:58:25
What's the fastest you have seen your pagerank go up?

What do you do it get your pagerank up if you don't have people link to your site? Like if you are selling something I doubt competitors are going to want to link to you.

if you selling a product, how about detailed descriptions and usefulness of the product - remember, content is also important - not just links

bran0923 - are you talking about Google PageRank or SERP (Search Engine Results Page) ranking?

Good question....isn't your SERP based off your pagerank? I know Google has it's own way to rank...but what about like MSN and yahoo? alot of times I will get alot better SERP spot on like msn serach then google...

Pagerank (from Google) is just one factor in evaluating a site for SERP placement. The common number thrown around is there are 100 factors involved in ranking and PR is just one factor. Personally, I believe there are far more than 100 depending on the industry.

Low PR sites out rank higher PR sites and high PR sites outrank low PR sites.

What about them? They are going to function similar to each other. Properly organized content is good and quality backlinks are even better.
