What permissions should be checked on the fpdb folder that contains your Access DBs?

Generally, read, write and delete for the Internet Guest Account.

OK, you lost me there. The choices are:

Allow scripts to be run
Allow files to be browsed
Allow anonymous upload to this directory
Allow uploaded files to overwrite existing filenames

None of mine are checked at this time. Is that how it should be?

The reason I asked is I have a couple DB's that won't allow me update via a form. They were working fine yesterday. I didn't touch the permissions/properties. I was wondering if some server techs had fiddle with something.

Just checked my site and my fpdb folder has the same settings as yours. The issue I was referring to are the actual NT permissions on the fpdb folder. Do you have other dbs in the same folder that are allowing updates? What error message, if any, are you receiving?

I have several DBs in that folder that all seem to work fine. So I guess that's not the problem.

I discovered that one DB would allow you to read it (it would display query info, etc.) but you could not write to it - hence the permission question. After a little tinkering, I discovered that the .mdb file itself was in a funk. I couldn't rename it, delete it or work with it in any way. It kept saying it was already in use by the server. It didn't make any difference how I attemped to modify it (FP, CuteFTP, etc.).

I ended-up needing to have the server techs delete it on their end. Then I re-uploaded the db file and all is well now. Strange.
