I have been trying to get the attached image on a transparent background, but I just can't figureout photoshop. Could someone please help me?

Hi Jennifer,

You need it as a gif image to make the background colour transparent. I don't use photoshop (I use PSP) so I'm not quite sure exeactly how you do it in photoshop, but I did it in PSP (attached below) by re-saving as a gif, then optimising and setting the transparent colour as white (though as I just discovered the background isn't actually white, so I had to set quite a high tolerance (I think I used 40) to get the whole of the background transparent.

Create a new image with transparent background and copy > paste your image into it.

Then select the background with the wand and Edit > Cut

You might have to zoom in and clean up the edges a bit, but that will get you pretty close.

Then Export to a Gif (or PNG, but IE doesn't render .png images very well)
