SimonCleaver -> Can CSS replace the table on this page (10/5/2005 12:40:33)

I have been trying to use CSS to replace the table on my home page at www.homesinspain.ltd.uk/index.html, but am getting nowhere fast.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the concept.
My initial problem is the postioning of the 3 images on the page. I have had various attemps with position:relative, absolute, etc - but none seem to give the desired result. They either mis-position when using absolute (depending on browser and resolution) or appear with spaces between the images when using "relative".

I wonder if anyone could help me with this? The link above shows how I would like the page laid out (even though the footer should fill the whole of the bottom, but I'll get to that after).

If I use absolute positioning, then will may page look different on different resolutions?

Many thanks if anyone can give me some pointers.

Simon, yes css layout can replace the tables but it's not anywhere near as easy to do.

I suspect that you might be better keeping your table and just using css to style the colours, fonts etc to begin with. It's great you're trying to use css but maybe trying to run before you can walk?

If you want to get your site finished. go the easy route. Get it uploaded then try playing with a new page with css for layout. New stuff never comes together when you're panicked and on a deadline.
