Anybody familiar with PSP7? problem - 10/5/2005 13:38:31
Im hoping someone will be able to help me. I am having a problem with PSP7 shutting down on me when I try to use the text tool. I can do everything but use this tool. Whenever I go to use it the windows error message pops up with PSP has encountered an error and needs to shut down. I can click on the icon and it is ok, but when I click where I want to place text the cursor turns to the hourglass immediately and then pops up with this message. This is really getting frustrating. Can anyone help?

I have uninstalled the program, deleted all traces that I could find. Emptied recycle bin, rebooted, then reinstalled the program. I still have the same problem. And what is even stranger, My last 10 files are appearing on the fresh install along with all preferences that I had chosen for my last project. It seems to me even thought the program showed it was uninstalled, it did not uninstall. However I could not find any traces of it. I am really puzzled here and hoping for some help.

It does uninstall but it leaves settings in the registry so you'd need to clear that out as well which, unless you know what you're doing is not advisable.

You could pick up a registry cleaner which would do it but I don't think that's your problem.

How much free memory do you have and how full is your hard drive? It may be down to space problems.

Otherwise, I would shoot along to the JASC site and see what they have in the way of support.

I found this but you need to sign up as a member to see the answer.
