CSS Style not working - 10/8/2005 22:14:45
I hope I explain this clearly enough.

http://coxandco.tripod.com/sample.htm - this is what the calander is supposed to look like.

http://coxandco.tripod.com/ImportantReminders.htm - this is what it looks like.

Can anyone tell me why the CSS is not working properly please? I finally got this page to act the way I wanted it to by using an inline frame for the calander, and have the links change just that part of the page.

Also, another quick question, can I, and how do I make the inline frame adjust to the size needed vertically, rather than having a set height, because there are only a few calander pages that need the extra height.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Jennifer

Are your style sheet referencess the same in Calander/October05.htm? Can't really tell 'cause the source is not available in an inline frame.

That's where I'd start anyways.

Do you mean on the originating page? If so, then yes, the style sheet is linked there. What I find really puzzleing is that it appears that part of the CSS is working in the inline frame. Where the month is, it appears to be working, but from there down it's not. Weird.

Nope, I mean the page that is referenced in your inline page. IOW if you go directly to Calander/October05.htm in it's own window / page (without using the inline frame), does it look like it's supposed to?

Well I dunno' what you did but it seems to be OK now. The page Calander/October05.htm seems to have the correct style sheets. Did you just add them or did something else change for it to now work?

Got it figured out, it was in the way some things were linked, on the style sheet they were called:

dayName, dayNumber, dayText

but in the html they were called:

dayname, daynumber, daytext

Such a stupid little thing,

Thank you for your help.

Not such a stupid little thing. Unix hosts are case sensitive and if you don't pay attention to names then things don't work.

Be especially vigilant when changing names in FP as it doesn't care what case you use. It thinks MYFile and myfile are identical.
