Any Suggestions? - 10/11/2005 13:52:10
Hi All

I just put a site up for my niece, and I would greatly appreciate your feedback. There is a lot of room for improvement.

www.RosaliaLicciardi.com

Thanks

I think its nice. the background and other issues are a matter of taste. To me, the pretty young girl look misplaced on the black background but hey,,who am I? however, I did find the fancy scroll font very hard to read.

I'd agree on the fancy scroll font, and though I like the red on black, as Dan says, I'm not sure if the photo goes with the overall colour scheme.

Just a couple of other little things - on the home page the nav looks a little lost all on it's own out on the right, and I'm not sure about the pinky coloured visited link colour, but otherwise looking good!

Hi

A very sophisticated looking site and in my opinion right for the target audience.

A few points that I came across.

1) I found it very difficult to read the title banner.

2) I gave up downloading the music clips as they were taking too long. Hopefully someone will be able to advise you on how to improve that in this forum.

3) I think the site could have some more pictures of your niece. It would be good to have some action photos of her when she is performing.

4) you will need to put a DOCTYPE declaration on each page of your site.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks for all your feedback.

I choose a frilly font because of the nature of her field. I will change the font for "Lyric Coloratura Soprano" to something easier to read.

I choose the red and pinks because I wanted to play on and stay within the "Rose" theme. I will look for a better combo in that family.

Is the photo too small or what? She sent me a few other photos but they are just awful. The photographer she used had her looking like some sex kitten slut. That is unacceptable! This is Opera not Rock n Roll! I am looking to create a classic elegant look for her site.

I have never worked with music files so I am open to any suggestions in making it work better.

I will implement the changes when I get back from Las Vegas. Then I will return for another round.

Mega Thanks
Ro

No Dan, I don't. The pix that I used was the only acceptable one.

You should see the other ones OMG! What was that photographer thinking! He had her pursing her lips like some pop tart. I refuse to use them nor will I post them anywhere. We are working on getting shots form her performances.

Thanks
Ro

That would be great. It would really help and enhance the site further

Keep up the good work.
