sort order of databse results - 10/12/2005 10:14:02
Hi,
I have a page which displays database results in fp 2003. However the the DIW wont create a page that allows me to edit the sort order or the title of the results. Any help here would be appreciated..

Yu can drag and drop the fields it creates for you.
Also, during your DRW you can "edit list" and sort within there.

I would like to edit the sort order of the results themselves.
For example, I have a staff members table. I would like the director to go at the top of the list. His Cat ID must be 1. However the DIW backend admin panel doesnt allow me to edit the CatID or the title, so becuase I got his details wrong initally and had to renter his details, hes now at the bottom of the list below the cleaners.

hmm, I don't know of anyway other than the default Alpha/numeric sort. Sorry.
You could set a wildcard to be displyed first. Ex: if his name is geroge your could do a g% and all g's would be displyed, etc..

what I really cant understand is why is the database interface wizard not giving me the option of being able to edit the catID directly. It seems the most logical way setting an order.
