I like it - only thing that bothered me style-wise was the blue border around the girl leaning on the car.
curious about one aspect though... are the auto and driving differences between UK and USA sufficently great to make your product UK-specific or do you think it is equally germaine to both? I see from your profile here that you are in Ireland but the site doesnt give any regional address. just wondered

Im guessing that you designed the site for
www.carecare4girls.com
only to find that the domain had been jacked???

I was wondering about that too... You have it at another page as well.

The site is dynamite but that blue border makes it look a bit cheesy for something that was done so well. That is just my opinion.

Next, that section !!

I would imagine that is your greatest selling point? That is, for guys to buy it for chicks or female family members???

If so, it is not as obvious as it should be even though that it is blaring out at the bottom. I almost skipped over it. If it would be tweaked so that it is more direct in which people (men that is) would click that first which I think was your original intent.

Maybe some like:

What Women Need instead of what they want...

It is still a bit cheesy but it is more direct and to the point...

But overall, the site is dynamite...

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the views... I felt the same way about the blue border and wasn't sure about it to be honest... I've removed them and feel better about it!

The only main difference is the side of the road we drive on (which is the same as in Australia) but the same basic principles are the same hence the non geographic restraints.....

Walrus,

Nope, the domain wasn't jacked! I own that one too but the Us Girls is more tongue in cheek and dispells the sexism bit to some extent!

Wolf,

See above about the blue border!

I have updated that link for the guys bit, any comments on the new working?

I have to be really careful about the sexist bit or I will get lynched by my own family before anyone else can get to me!

Stephen

Dave,

Left your menu query till the end as I'm not sure what to do about it!

Is there anything I can do about how the site looks if people change their font settings or is it something that is normal?

Cheers!
Stephen

re: menu
not sure! :)
maybe use the image as a background - but you would need to do it as a rounded corner css box... or use images (not so friendly, not resizable - except in opera -)

otherwise it's just a limitiation of the design unless anyone else has any bright ideas??

btw your lady on the front page looks a lot better without the blue glow!

On the menu problem, you could use some nifty image replacement/css trickery. There's an example of an accessible method at Simplebits
