Submit Button headaches - 10/16/2005 3:17:57
Hello I have just learned FrontPage 2002 last June and started editing this website like adding photos and changing texts. I have also bought help books that concerns FrontPage 2002. So far I have learned the basics. Pretty much mediocre but still I feel like a novice. Most of the pages in the WebSite works pretty fine after I published it. But there is this exceptionally pain in the ass page called order form. This is an important page and whenever our customers push the Submit Form button it says "Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: "http://roadvisionla.com/OrderForm.htm" I have called the Technical Service department of Yahoo (web server) numerous times, only to realize that I have been wasting my time since June. Am I doing something wrong or do I just have to upgrade on the kind of web hosting package we availed of. Our "STARTER PACKAGE" does not support PHP or PERL unlike the Standard and Professional package. I'm in desperate need because my boss is running out of patience considering I started working on this last June 13, 2005. I look forward to you generous aid in regards to my shortcoming in knowledge of Frontpage. Thankyou

If you have been working hard since June, certainly your salary far exceeds the low cost of a good host. why dont you contact Thomas Brunt who runs this site and who offers hosting and free "coaching" especially geared to Fp users and noobies?

Hey, thanks guys!!!! Anyway, I spent the whole day talking to different Tech Support people in yahoo. Finally after nearly 4 months of headache, I got to talk to a SINGLE smart Tech personell. His, reply was simple. Yahoo does not support FP02 extensions when it comes to the "Submit Buttons" of the forms available in Frontpage 2002. The solution was just to download the HTML code for the add-on section inside my control panel, and paste it between the codes in the page I intend to upoad it. Finally it worked. Both of you are correct!!! Specially the one who said about getting a better host. Their Tech support sucks!!! I really appreciate the help you extended me. I wish I could return the favor, but my skills are baby novice compared to your experience. Best Regards to the both of you.
