Shared SSL and Cube cart 3.0.4 - 10/26/2005 11:09:26
Hi i am using cube cart 3.0.4 but cannot get the shared SSL to work. It won't let me login to admin page once it is cinfigured.

What error do your receive or what happens? Also do you have a URL? Did the host configure the certificate for the server or did you via Cpanel?

Thanks for the welcome and help to all of you.
Ok i manage to get cubecart working with shared SSL, which is a impossible task in it self. But it is half working.
It keeps dropping sessions when it switching into/out of SSL. Eg: when i add items to my shopping cart and go to view basket well all items vanish. But the the second or thir time i do it it works fine. Then i clear my cookies and history and carry on the same process, the problem occurs. It empty's the basket out.
Is there any way or file i can code in cubecart to prevent dropping sessions when it enter's in/out of SSL.
"The problem is because your hosting environment doesn't put a value for $_SERVER["HTTPS"].
On most servers with https:// on $_SERVER["HTTPS"] will return 1 or "on".
You server doesn't have a variable to distinguish whether this is the case and thus CubeCart gets in a muddle. "

Shared SSL looks really bad on a real website. I suggest you spend the $15 and get something that looks professional.
