SimonCleaver -> Background-position problem (10/26/2005 11:38:34)

Hi all,
I am trying to position a background image with a margin of 10px horizonatal and vertical.
For some reason the vertical setting is not working.
My test page is at: http://www.homesinspain.ltd.uk/index3.html
and the CSS file is at: http://www.homesinspain.ltd.uk/site3.css
What am i doing wrong?
Many thanks for any help

have you tried zeroing the page margins in the body (i.e. padding and margins to zero) and then readajust everything else?

I still can't seem to get this right. I removed the margins completetly and that did cover up my background image which was showing in the top left corner - but now I can't get the text to sit right.

Would someone mind having a look at my CSS, I can't see where I am going wrong.
The telephone numbers at the top are either to high in IE or too low in Firefox - Is there a simple solution to vertically align the text to the middle of the logo?

Also, removing the body margins did help with the "cover up" of my background image - but I don't think the web looks as nice - would anyone have any advice on how i could put a 10px margin around the whole page - but then have my background image start 10px down from the top, and 10 in from the left?

Many thanks for the help!!!

try using
margin-top:0;

on this rule
#banner h1

seems to work for me in ff and ie
