Transferring web data to new hard drive - 8/21/2001 18:42:00
My old hard drive is dying and I want to tranfer my frontpage and webs to my new hard drive.

How do I do it?

I have replaced the old hard drive with the new one, but I can plug it back in to use it temporarily and pull data of it, but it doesn't function for extended periods of time.

I am currently using Frontpage 2002 (XP).

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The problem is not the file size. I can put it on CD-R.

I saved it and then loaded it on the new harddrive. I can load it, but when I go to edit a page it won't let me access it because it says it is unable to access file...and I need to acces file permissions.

When you loaded it on a CD, the files became read only. Right click over one of them select properties and you will see read only checked, uncheck, apply and click ok and you will now be able to use it. You can do this for all by going to your site on your hard drive and selecting all or the entire web folder and doing the same thing , caution though all of your files will now be able to be written to.
