Status: offline	CPU cooler advice plz - 10/31/2005 16:40:33 I'm thinking of replacing the bog standard (read as shi7e) intel CPU cooler for my 3 gig Prescott ASUS MOBO PC. So wondering who has what or has had a good one they would say was worth having. Why do you think your current one will not be sufficient enough? Are you doing OCing or what? Status: offline	RE: CPU cooler advice plz - 10/31/2005 18:51:56 At the moment I have a CPU temp of late 30's (36 - 39 C) when the PC is idle, and late 40's C (46 - 48) when working it/gaming hard. MOBO temp of 20 - 22 C Idle, few degrees C up when running for a while and running hard/gaming. While I know they are fairly low/average for a 3 Gig Prescott I'd be happier keeping them as low as possible. Currently not OC'd but that is a game I have yet to venture into and will eventually just for learning experience. My case is now the Antec one I posted about a while back, though it's currently a bit crowded and badly set up as it's still running ATA HDD's. (Awaiting my 2 matched SATA's later this week.) That aside, these look pretty gooood. People who usually do heavy OCing will purchase these better heatsinks/fans. If you can see your heatsink, then buy a sexy one, if you can't, there is no reason to buy something that looks better, if you can't see it.
