Netscape 6.1 site view problem - 8/24/2001 15:27:00
I just installed the newest Netscape 6.1 and there's a definite problem with the way my homepage appears at the very top of every page. Here is the link http://www.kleenkuip.com Any ideas why this is happening? Earlier versions of Netscrap had no problems with this site. The majority of ppl that hit the site are IE users but i still want to be compatible to these users. I also noticed with this version that alt text doesn't show either.
Thanks

OK,
You convinced me to bite the bullet and download NN 6.1. I didn't hate it nearly as badly as I hated 6.0 until I looked at your page.
One possiblity could be that you have two cells in that top table with width=50%. That adds up to 100% and may leave no room for the other images causing them to bunch up. You could maybe make the table centered and set the width equal to the sum of the image widths.
Another possible solution would be to give the table a height attribute. height="114"

Thanks for biting the bullet Thomas...I found out that on the 3rd image at the top there was a smaller image H:114 X W:2 right beside it to the right in the same cell (not supposed to be there). I cut and pasted it into the next cell over and it fixed the problem. This image was put there before i learned to use a 1X1 transparent gif so table and cell backgrounds would display in Netscrap. This is also true in the cell on the far left.
I couldn't even begin to put a pricetag on all the valuable information ive absorbed through this great forum over the years.
