I am very new to all of this Search engine stuff. Can anyone please tell me if there is a way that I can, through my browser, find out what number my site is ranked with google and the various search engines?
Also, I have one site with two domain names. I could not find an sign of the one domain name on Friday, so I resubmitted it. Is this ok to do?
Thanks so much!

Depends on exactly what you mean.
Where your site ranks in Google or what Page Rank Google has given you?
If you mean the first, this again depends on a few things, keywords and backlinks being the first two that come off the top of my head. If you are looking to be number one for a product that has a name then keywords are the area you are looking at I would guess? For that type of ranking just Google the word or domain you have and see where you fall in the Pages Googles search provides.
Turns up this site as the first one, thus it would be said it is of high ranking/top for that search term/keyword.
Getting it there is a complex thing.
Page Rank is a complex mathmatic head exploder at best.
If you could be more specific and possibly give us a URL of your site the major SEO clued up members (Read MOJO etc) here will assist you far better and more eloquently than I have.
Doing a search or reading through this forum would also turn up a vault of information. (:

I use this site to check my rankings on the various search engines. You can use various phrases to check you rankings on two engines at a time.
