Hello all,

I am new here, my net nickname is D911.

I have a existing Flash .swf file and want to edit the text of the ready made Flash Intro .swf file, please help?

I have Sothink SWF Decompiler MX 2004 and also have Macromedia Director Shockwave Studio 8.0 but do not know how to edit the text of the Flash .swf file I already have.

Please help?

If you don't know, please reply with a post with where I can get steps how to edit Flash .swf files please?

Welcome to Outfront. Two things here.

1. you can't edit a swf file. you need the original fla file or you can decompile the swf into a fla.

2. You need Flash or similar to edit the fla. You can go for the free demo of flash or buy something like Swish. Director may look like it allows you to edit but all it does is load Flash and if you don't have that then it won't work.

There are also various wizards and packages around on the web that'll let you set your own banner up from scratch.

If you go the macromedia route then there are very good built in tutorials to take you through everything. You can also google for flash tutorials and you'll find bucket loads.

I found out about how and what to edit but not
what I should use to edit with and priciples of it.
At least give me an idea of what type of editor I
need to use..I have the player.

Thanks boy is that Swish EXPENSIVE! I did a google gave up went to cnet and found some with in range
of my pocket book. Later will climb up lol Thanks for
