barking mad -> mysql & php (11/15/2005 11:03:36)

I have a server which is hosting a few of my clients' websites, nothing major but does have windows 2003, iis 6, and sqlserver running, along with MailEnable for email server.

I have been asked to host a website which requires MySQL and PHP5,about which I know very little.

I've done some research and basically it appears I can get both packages for free - Is this correct?

seewww.php.net and www.mysql.com.

Next, what issues (if any) should I be aware of when installing etc.? - I'm not asking for War and Peace but I'm trying to gauge whether its worth my while or not offering these features.

in answer to the first bit - yes both free!

I used WAMP (windows apache mySQL PHP) which downloads the lot in one go (makes life a whole lot easier ) but not sure whether you need a different flavour due to the PHP and mySQL needing to work on the windows server...
