Keywords -List In Order of Importance? - 11/17/2005 11:02:05
If the keywords are on a given page, should the keywords be listed as they appear on the page (from top to bottom) or in order of importance? Thanks.

Neither.
Once I identify keywords or keyword phrases for a given page I immediately go to Oveture's suggestion tool and see how many searches where done in the last month. I then order the importance based on that. More searches means a larger target audience possibly.
Now on the flip side I also look for suggestions from that tool that bring in a lower amount of searches but that might bring in tighter targeted traffic (read conversions). These phrases I use on product pages as again I want to deliver what they are looking for exactly so hopefully they will convert better.
