MS Word 2003 - 11/17/2005 12:27:15
everytime I open a new document there is no marge of 2,5 cm, only the left and right marges work...So the tekst starts immediately on the top side of the paper. I tried page-settings and am able to change it and press the default buton to save it. But again the same problem when opening a new document. Anybody got an idea? thnx

In Page Settup, after you make your changes, click the button at the bottom that reads "Default"

That should make all your new documents start with those settings... at least it does for me

Make the document as you want it, then save as a document template (.dot) Save it in the directory where your templates are saved.

Close word, then using windows explorer go into the templates directory and delete the template that gives you your default page (usually normal.dot). Then rename the template you have created to the same name as the one you have just deleted.
When you restart word it should be OK.

hmmm still difficulties, can't find the "normal.dot" file in my program files/microsoft office/templates folder, so i cannot replace it. There are other files there, but they give a format for business plans, fax or letters etc..

It might be a hidden file.

In windows explorer
Tools>folder Options>View then check "show Hidden Files"

Try this:

Go to "Tools:Options:View" and be sure the item "White space between pages" is checked.

That help?
