Nicole -> RE: Client updated sites - general question (11/19/2005 7:52:19)

I really should be going to bed now, but quickly....

http://www.gendercentre.org.au/polare65.htm

is the page for each edition. I actually have a blank version that says article1, article2 etc, and the author, each have a dummy link just to mimic that each article title is a link.

http://www.gendercentre.org.au/65article1.htm

is an article for which I've actually got a blank one with just the article name, author and a bit of dummy text as the content.

What I'd like to know is if the seed can be placed in the template pages so that my client only has to replace dummy text with the article name, author and the actual text?

...then just save the file as the new file name, leaving the template there to be used for the next article.

Thanks

Nicole

if you have a template with a "seed" in the content area, then copy and rename that template file, the seed will be empty in the copied and renamed file, and when viewed in a browser ask for new content.

is that what you mean?

Oops! Many apologies for my error. I didn't research that before I replied, I pulled it from a faulty memory.

I guess I assumed (incorrectly) that as it plugs into FP, that the extensions would be required. It is much more versatile than I realised - great program!
