Yes I have a suggestion Jonathan, don't go round advertising on forums especially when it's your first post. Any forum worth its salt will treat you as a spammer and delete the message immediately, not even bothering to give you the courtesy of a reply as I am.

You'll just have to build your site rank the same as everyone else.

If you want to meet people who could become potential clients then join forums and contribute something useful. When people want a host they usually ask and then you can offer your services. Nobody in their right mind is going to sign up with someone who has just dropped by and then dropped off again.

Forum articles is good idea. But if you are serious about your business, then go for PPC ads on either google or overture. And definitely you will start building your customer base. If your service is good, it will take no time that those customers will refer new customers and repeat order.
