"ghost" cell borders that go away in preview..?? - 11/22/2005 1:13:14
I have run into a bit of an issue. I have several pages that when viewed in "normal", cell borders are present as a tiny dotted line, those lines disappear when "previewed"...exactly what i want.
www.gotbonus.com

Problem is this, there are several pages that Do not or will not show these "ghost" borders and cant figure out how or why they wont appear...
www.gotbonus.com/pokerlinks.htm

I CAN get thin grey lines to appear, but they are present in both normal and preview.
(at the bottom)
www.gotbonus.com/exchange.htm

And sometimes the normal has BOTH the ghost lines and the thin grey...

(grey line at the top)

Can someone point me in the direction of what i need to be doing to correct this?
And perhaps what i have done to cause it?

Thank you !

I'm not completely sure I know what you're asking but I think it has to do with empty cells.

If you don't have anything in a cell, many browsers won't display the cell or borders. You can fix it by always putting a "non-binding space":

in every table cell that has no content.

Does that help any?

I should have clarified a bit more...
I have a table set-up and cells within that table to place different items ( whether text or images). (Maybe this is an issue, should i be using tables within the main table?)

If i define each cell(s) attributes , i can see how they will be layed out within the table IF the Ghost borders are present, which work on my index page, but not on others that are listed.( or on new pages that i create).

I want to be able to see the cell borders( light dotted lines on my index page) for desgin purposes in "normal view, but have those cell borders disappear when i look at the pages in "preview" ( and when published).

Thanks !
