Websites and navigation bars - 6/7/2001 20:59:00
May I please get someone to view two websites and answer two questions for me. The websites are http://www.kathywrightandco.com and http://www.flowersbyanne.com
The questions are on the kathywright site, Can I do a photo with the welcome sign coming on after the photo displays on FP2000? and on the flowersbyanne site, is there a way to do something similar with navigation bars as is displayed on this site on the left of the page on FP2000? and if so, how do I do it? Thanks!

There are a variety of ways you could make the Welcome show after the photo. An animated gif might work, however photos don't make decent gif files usually. You could make the welcome part animated alone, with a blank white space first, with a long delay in it, then have the text show, loop this only once. The animation would have to be beside the photo, instead of top as it is now.

As for the 2nd part of your question, you can't use the navigation bar feature for this. You could make the images, use the Mighty Mouseover machine, and have the navigation images be javascript rollovers.

You could use Swish to achieve the look you want with the Welcome picture.

Thanks for the info. Okay, say I just want the welcome to be animated; how do I do the blank space first, etc. as you have stated? Also, what is swish? Thanks, again, to all webmasters.
