Richard Knight -> Web Traffic Packages/Services (9/10/2001 20:39:00)

Can anyone recommend some providers of either packages or services to monitor traffic to Web sites? Although I currently get some reporting through my host (Alentus Corp.) I need to get more detailed stats.

Specifically I want to be able to analyses traffic across potentially 1,000+ pages and as required, drill down to page level. i.e. how many impressions, referring url's etc.. Alternatively, I may want to get a report on the top and bottom 10 performing pages.

Thanks people.

Sounds like you need LogAnalyser from WebTrends. www.webtrends.com

Not cheap but one of the best I know of and will do all you listed and much more...

Here is another thread about this subject.

Thanks Rian....I was afraid that Web Trends would be the answer! £500/$700 does seem alot, however, we need something of this quality across c. 4 sites, hence over 12 months or so it'll have paid for itself v's the costs on Webtrends Business Edition online entry level pricing.

I am assuming that you can use the stand-alone version for multiple sites......

Correct! And for that many sites it's well worth the investment IMHO....

You can also download a fully functional trial version to try out.
